“Behold I Will Do a New Thing”

In this time of challenging times, God would not use an exclamation point to punctuate your life or mine. That would leave you with a sense of high emotion. God has not given you the spirit of fear, and He has promised to give you His peace. Since God would not use a period, a question mark, or an exclamation point, which form of punctuation would He use? God would use a comma.

The reason is because a comma means a brief pause. God wants you to know that there is something ahead that He has planned for you.

“Behold, I will do a new thing.”  ISAIAH 43:18-19  NKJV

Our city and county Mayors have updated about the Coronavirus , the tornado clean up and assistance on a daily basis. One of the Mayors always ends with the statement, “Do not live in fear, but in faith”. Well, that is what I am trying to do and I am encouraging each of you to do as well. God can take what is overwhelming, what is uncertain and make something certain out of it.

As of now, I am not sure when our Mid & West State CWC Rally will be, but I want to encourage each of you to be praying, thinking and do something that can make a difference in your home, church, community. If you are like me, I am working from home and staying in as much as possible so not to take anything in on anyone else and also not to bring anything in to my husband that is dealing with pulmonary issues already. So, I was thinking what can I do? I have a lot of elderly folks that live in our community so I put on big pots of beef tips and noodles, fried some corn fritters and called several of them and chatted and told them I would put the food on their porch with an encouraging card. It does not take a lot, just one food item and it lifts their spirits and lets them know they are thought about. I have more neighbors that I will do this again in a few days.

This may not be your thing, but a card, a call...think about it. God can use each of just where we are right now. I would like to encourage each of you to stay in contact with your ladies' ministries through emails, calls, etc. Encourage them to practice the guidelines that have been issued from President Trump but to still place a call or send a card, face time to those that need their spirits lifted.

We can all pray, pray, and pray for our frontline workers, doctors, nurses, EMT workers, the military and National Guard, Our President, Vice President and Task Force Team, local, state and National Leaders making tough but necessary decisions right now. Pray for our Pastors, congregations during this time that when we get back, we will see our churches full with individuals, families, neighbors, anxious to know God in a deeper way. Pray for many that have lost their jobs or closing their businesses temporarily, our Church of God National offices, our National CWC offices.

We WILL get through this!

In His service Joyfully,

Jeanie Lee, Middle CWC President
Her desire is to make a difference in her family, church, work place, community, state, and WORLD!
